What we collect, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.
Last updated 9 August 2026
Short version: we collect what you type into our forms so we can call you back. We do not sell it, we do not advertise with it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by messaging Arturo Villarreal on +507 6790-4807.
1.Who is responsible
EMTS, Buenaventura, Río Hato, Coclé, Panamá, is responsible for personal data collected through this website. For anything on this page, contact Arturo Villarreal, Director of Operations, on +507 6790-4807 or at emtspanama@gmail.com.
2.What we collect
From our forms. Your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, where you are in Panama, what you are asking about, and anything you write in the notes field. For business and community enquiries, your organisation name as well.
From members. If you enrol, the medical information needed to treat you — conditions, medications, allergies, and your address — so a crew has it before they arrive rather than having to ask while treating you.
Automatically. Our host records standard server logs, including IP address, for security and to rate-limit abuse of our forms.
3.Please do not send medical details through the website
The contact form is for getting in touch, not for medical history. No medical information is required on it and we ask you not to include any. If you do, we handle it as described here, but a form on a website is the wrong place for it — tell Arturo Villarreal directly instead.
4.Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered by email through Resend, an email service provider based in the United States, and arrive in an EMTS mailbox hosted by Google. Both process the data on our behalf. This means your enquiry is transmitted to and stored on servers outside Panama.
This website is hosted by Vercel. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where a hospital or physician needs it to treat you, or where the law requires it.
5.Cookies and tracking
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, and we do not run a Meta or Facebook advertising pixel.
If that changes, we will ask your consent before any such cookie is set, and update this page first.
6.How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need to follow up, and no longer than two years, unless you become a member. Member records are kept for the duration of the membership and afterwards for as long as Panamanian law requires clinical records to be retained.
7.Your rights
Under Panama’s Law 81 of 2019 on the protection of personal data, you can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected if it is wrong, have it deleted, or object to how we use it. Ask Arturo Villarreal — by phone, WhatsApp, or email — and we will action it. We do not charge for this and we will not ask why.
The one limit: where clinical records must be retained by law, we cannot delete those until that period has passed.
8.Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Our membership terms cover the service itself.
